WORK
Orven
There is no logo, only a monogram of two linked rings. A jewellery house needs a mark that works at the scale of the piece, legible on a finger rather than on a sign.

DisciplineBrand identity, video production
Concept work. The brand and the numbers are invented.
The brief
The workshop had been making pieces for forty years, but its name appeared only on the guarantee slip inside the box. Everything in the window sold under somebody else’s name.
The approach
The mark was drawn at the scale of a ring rather than a shopfront: two interlocking arcs that still separate at three millimetres. Everything else is one gesture, a fine engraved rule, with no pattern and no texture. The brand does not shout from across the street, and that was accepted deliberately, because in this window the loud ones do not win.
