SHOWREEL / BRAND IDENTITY, PACKAGING, VIDEO PRODUCTION

01 / ABOUT US

A small studio, and you always get the same person.

Small on purpose. You talk to whoever is doing the work, so there's no account manager in between, no chain of briefs, no email left sitting for a week.

  • Websites

Fast to open, sound on a phone, findable in search, and yours to run afterwards.

  • Brand identity

Logo. Colours. Type. Then the rules for all of it, business card to shopfront sign.

  • Brand management

Your social accounts, the monthly posts, the messages coming in. Staying consistent after launch is a separate job, and it's where most brands quietly come apart. We take it on.

  • Video production

Shoot. Edit. Sound. Deliver. Promo films, product shots, reels; all of it in the brand's own language.

  • App development

Interface through infrastructure, mobile and web. We hand it over working and the source code is yours, so you can carry on with another developer whenever you like.

CLOSING IN

One piece of work at a time.

Five disciplines sit side by side, but only one of them is on the desk on any given day. The rest wait their turn.

Whatever is on the desk gets the whole desk.

Concept work. Not client work.

02 / WORK

Concept work.

None of this is client work. We made it ourselves to show how an idea looks. Real work goes here as it lands.

  • Video production

  • App development

Concept work. The brand and the numbers are invented.

03 / PROCESS

Four stages, one scene each.

The same four steps run on every project. Each scene is one of them, and the scroll takes you through them in order.

  1. Discovery

We map your business, your buyer and your competition. What comes out of this stage is a single definition of what has to be solved.

  2. Direction

We settle the brand direction and the structure, then show it all at once. Once it is signed off the arguing closes and the making starts.

  3. Production

Design and build run together. We show you work in progress, so you see what is coming without waiting for the end.

  4. Launch

We ship it and hand it over: repository, source files, brand usage rules.

04 / STUDIO

How we think.

The usual complaint about agencies is not bad design, it's silence. Work starts, and a few weeks in there's nobody on the other end; you don't know who is doing what, and when you ring, nobody picks up. That is why we stayed small.

We turn work down, and we say so on day one. Building the visible side of a brand from scratch is our kind of job; slotting one more screen into somebody's large existing system is a job other people do better.

The name comes from the Huma, a bird that never lands. Whoever its shadow falls on is said to receive good fortune. We read that shadow as the work itself.

Nothing you end up with carries our name on it. If you want to carry on with someone else tomorrow, the files and the rules and the code are already yours, and nothing anywhere is locked.

WHAT WE COMMIT TO

The promises we make.

None of this is a client testimonial. We have no client work to show yet and we are not going to pretend otherwise. These are the studio’s own commitments: we say the same thing on every project and we do the same thing at handover.

  • OWNERSHIP

The source files are yours. The repository, the design sources, every format of the logo set and the brand usage rules transfer to you on delivery.

  • TIMING

We do not quote you a number of days, weeks or months. What we tell you instead is which of the four stages you are in, at any point.

  • SCOPE

We turn down small pieces that stand apart from the rest of the brand. If we are not the right fit, we say so on the first day.

  • ONE TEAM

Whoever designs a thing builds it. There is no handover document in between, because there is no gap in between.

  • HANDOVER

What we hand over is a working thing, not a file. We leave the source, the rules and the code behind.

  • DECISIONS

Good design is decisions, not decoration. If two things speak at once on a page, one of them has to go.

05 / QUESTIONS

Frequently asked

  • Who owns the source files?

You do. The repository, the design sources, every format of the logo set and the brand usage rules transfer to you on delivery. You are not locked in.

  • How does the process run?

There are four stages and the order does not change: discovery, direction, production, launch. You see the work at each stage, so nothing lands as a surprise at the end.

  • Where are you based?

Istanbul. The whole job can run remotely, and we are used to working across time zones.

  • Which languages do you work in?

We write Turkish and English ourselves. For other languages you supply the copy and we build the multilingual structure.

  • What happens after delivery?

Maintenance and further work can continue, or you can carry on with your own developer. Either is fine, there is no lock in.

  • Is there work you turn down?

Yes. We turn down small pieces that stand apart from the rest of the brand, because that work does not hold up without the rest of the brand.

Got something worth building?

Write one sentence: what you do and what you need. We reply within the same working day, Istanbul time. If we are not the right fit we say that too, instead of wasting your time.
