ACCESSIBILITY

Accessibility statement

This site targets WCAG 2.2 level AA. Below is what was decided, how it was verified, and what has not been verified yet. If you hit something we missed, write to us and we will fix it.

Target and scope

The target is WCAG 2.2 AA. This statement covers every page on this domain: the home page, the service pages, the work pages, the studio page, contact and the legal texts. The site embeds no third party content, so nothing is carved out of scope.

AA, not AAA. Some AAA criteria conflict directly with the typographic scale and the brand palette; setting a target that cannot be met would turn the statement itself into decoration.

What was decided

Keyboard: every interactive element on the page can be reached by keyboard and the focus indicator is always visible. The focus ring is never removed. The first item in the tab order is a "Skip to content" link, and it genuinely skips the navigation bar.

Contrast: every text and background pair was measured. The brand purple is never used as text on the dark surface, because it lands at 1.60:1 on ink; the secondary text colour is used there instead, at 6.33:1. Links gain contrast on hover rather than losing it.

Motion: all motion on this site is driven by scroll position and stops under prefers-reduced-motion: reduce. When it stops the page is not left half built: pinned sections sit in their resolved state and revealed elements sit visible.

Video: every clip is silent, carries no information, and has a control to stop it. There is no audio, so there is no content that would need captions.

Zoom: pinch zoom is left enabled on mobile. There is no maximum-scale and no user-scalable restriction.

Language: each page declares its language with html lang, the two languages live under separate roots, and the language switch goes to the counterpart of the page you are on rather than to the home page.

Structure: the accordion questions are native details and summary elements, not a div wearing a costume. Sections are named, navigation is nav, the footer is footer, and heading levels are never skipped.

How it was verified

Contrast ratios were computed one by one and the figures are written into the code next to the decision they justify. The keyboard pass was done by hand: tab order, focus visibility and the landing point of the skip link were checked against the generated HTML.

Page structure was verified by reading the generated HTML. That is how we established that the skip link really clears the navigation, that the navigation does not sit inside main, and that the footer sits outside it.

What has not been verified

No independent third party audit has been carried out. This statement rests on the studio’s own measurements.

No end to end screen reader pass has been done. The markup is correct and the roles are in place, but how that behaves under NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver is a separate verification and it has not happened yet.

The site has not been tested with voice control or switch access.

When these three gaps close, this section changes and so does the effective date.

Feedback

If you could not reach something, if an element cannot be operated by keyboard, or if a piece of text does not read, write to merhaba@studiohumay.com. Telling us which page and which tool you were using gets it fixed faster.

We answer within the same working day, Istanbul time. If it can be fixed we fix it and tell you; if it cannot, we say so and say why.

Effective date

Effective date: 28 July 2026.

This statement describes the site as it stands today. If the site changes, the statement changes; that is always the order, never the reverse.
